Sunflowers are always a favorite and this quilt displays the Dresden sunflowers on a bright blue sky. The gradated fabric is rail fence pieced and creates an interesting background to highlight the bold yellow blooms. Or choose another color or a multicolor gradation. Create a wall hanging or use the finished quilt top as a center medallion for a larger quilt. Hand applique the petals and stems or use machine stitching. Make a garden that will bloom no matter the weather! You will be able to piece the background and create the flowers and stems in this class.
