I have been playing with fabric for many years. I began quilting in 1994 when I wanted to make a gift for my parents’ 48th wedding anniversary and it has blossomed from there! For the last 30 years I have experimented with various methods and projects. I have been teaching quilting since I retired from my HS Spanish classroom because I missed teaching. I have taught various types of quilts, bags, etc. I have also created some of my own patterns. Most recently I have been experimenting with HAPPY VILLAGES after being inspired by a class with Karen Eckmeier who developed the technique. Karen gave me her endorsement to teach her happy villages and I have had many students finding enjoyment in working small like I do. My villages have been featured in her newsletter several times.
I am married and have two marvelous sons, two daughters by marriage and most recently a lovely granddaughter. I enjoy teaching and seeing others put their own touch on my patterns as well as these villages.
