Molas are a Traditional needlework Art from the Kuni people of Central America, Panama, and the San Blas Islands. It is created using multiple layers of colorful fabric, needle-turn applique, and LOTS of tiny tiny stitches. My Mock Molas are made of Colorful Felt and Flannel and then embellished with embroidery, buttons or beads. The Felt eliminates the need for Needle-turn applique while still employing the reverse applique technique. This is a handwork class, easily achievable by beginners or experienced sewers!
