After raising six children, Ginny was exhausted past the point of distraction, and needed a hobby where she could sit down. She started quilting, and never looked back. Ever the teacher and mom, Ginny wanted to share what she had learned, and became a Studio 180 Certified Instructor in 2016. In 2021, she earned her instructor certification from Sew Kind of Wonderful. Ginny very much enjoys teaching at quilt shops, guilds and retreats.
With almost 30 years of experience as a high school science teacher, Ginny has the ability to break down complex techniques and processes into simple achievable chunks. She effectively applies this skill to her quilt classes. Using humor and enthusiasm, Ginny motivates and encourages her students to increase their skills and confidence. Ginny loves to share the pleasure quilting can bring by showing students how to accomplish their goals and complete projects…even those they didn’t think they were capable of.
