Instructor: Carrie Buck
|Students must be confident in doing some of the work at home before the workshop. This project was designed specifically for a workshop with the focus on embroidery. Because of this, students will be mailed the kit ahead of time with specific instructions on cutting out the appliqué pieces, positioning them on the wool square and whip stitching the pieces in place. |
Class time will be spent working on the embroidery. There are 12 different embroidery stitches used in this project.
Types of perle cotton will be discussed as well as other threads, needles, pins, pencils, stabilizers, fusible web and ways I use tiger tape.
I will have a show and tell of my work giving examples of embroidery and finishing ideas for their wool appliqué projects. I have designed a simple tote bag pattern for any 12” block and this pattern will be available during the workshop.
