Each year we offer a lottery block pattern just for fun – a completely optional activity. For each lottery block that you complete, you’ll earn a chance to win a set of blocks to go home with to create your own special project. Complete 10 blocks and you’ll earn 10 chances. Of course, how many blocks you go home with is dependent on how many quilters participate and how many blocks they create. So, encourage all your friends to participate!!
This year we’ve teamed up with Brita Nelson the Questioning Quilter and will use her instructions for her
Disappearing Hourglass Quilt Made with 5” Scrap Charms. Please watch her youtube video and consider subscribing to her channel.
Although the video outlines how to complete the quilt, we’ll only focus on the initial block creation. How the lucky winners choose to put together their blocks will be up to them – there are so many possibilities! In keeping with our theme of Third Time’s The Charm, we invite you to use up some of those charm squares you’ve collected. Of course, you can cut your own 5” squares as well. To help ensure that the sets of blocks created are cohesive, please use bright colors and white or white tone on tone background fabrics.
