The fabric choice will show the world your own personal style. You can use this for your sewing stuff, your knitting, your book club, your whatever or as a gift for someone you love. We will create the sides, quilt the pockets and make the custom interior pockets. Then we will sew all of this together to make the messenger bag you’ve been dreaming about.

  • Description: I have been sewing a series of small colorful beaded and embroidered art quilts, inspired by the original artwork of Regina Valluzzi of Boston. A few years back, she sent me a yard of her 8" watercolors printed onto fabric through a company by the name of Spoonflower.com. They sat for quite along time because I could never come up with something to do them justice, thinking I had to put all of the pieces into one quilt. Three years ago, I needed a small project to take with me on the go. I grabbed one of these 8" pieces and the rest is history! These pieces were perfect! In this class you will learn how to read the artwork through buttons, beads and threads. I like using Sulky Silver threads for the quilting. This class is a machine and hand sewing class.
